Lauren and Tom's chic wedding at Chateau Lagorce was one to remember. The rustic French Chateau is situated near a humble rural village in Bordeaux; surrounded by rolling hills, covered in vines and symmetrically lined olive groves. DREAMY to sum it up. The French Chateau is run by a THE most gorgeous couple and just a few members of staff. They all work so hard to pull off each bride and groom's dream day. Always busy and always with huge smiles. The venue itself is so beautiful and features a swimming pool which the wedding party has full access to. YES.
Is there any better back drop than the Chateau to frame Lauren's beautiful Suzanne Neville wedding dress and shoes?? I think non!
We arrived on the day prior to the wedding so that we could meet with the bride, Lauren at the venue. In the evening we joined them for their pre wedding party on the terrace. Cameras left at our own chateau for this one!
The day of the wedding arrived and there was a buzz in the air. A lot of the guests were dressed and making the most of the terrace and soaking in the views from the Chateau whilst Lauren and Tom were getting ready.
First stop was straight to see the girls and to capture their bridal prep. My Photography style is documentary and there were plenty of opportunities to get creative. The tunes were playing and spirits were high! And Lauren was looking stunning.
Next stop was over to the boys in another wing at the Chateau. Nerves and excitement - they were looking dapper. And would you just look at those shoes!! Spoiler - they were not the grooms ;)
Lauren's Dad had been waiting outside with anticipation and she looked a million dollars. I absolutely love this part of the day. It's a point where Dad who is known as a non-cryer will so often shed a happy tear and it's so beautiful to see.
One thing I just LOVE about Chateau Lagorce is the incredible outdoor staircase. The bridal party make their entrance via this whilst the groom and guests wait in the seated ceremony area below. I can tell you from being there that there is a LOT of stairs. The bridal party had done a few practice runs of it the night before though so they were well prepared!
The speeches were held before the food was served on the stunning courtyard at the Chateau. The speeches were beautiful. They had every guest laughing and crying simultaneously. At some point I had given up fighting back the tears behind my camera too. I'm such a crier anyway but this was so heartfelt.
They so nearly got to the end but mother nature decided to make an introduction just before the first course.....
Lauren and Tom's guests were AMAZING. Whilst the bride and groom went off to recoup (and dry off a little), the guests formed together to surprise them on entry with a rendition of their favourite song. There was no way that they were letting a bit of rain get in the way of this pairs dream day.
The photo possibilities for backdrops were endless....
How else would you end your day other than dancing the night away under the stars?
Well I suppose you could top it with a fireworks display?! Tres magnifique!
